Privacy Policy

Flario is committed to protecting your privacy, especially the privacy of children. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We have designed Flario to work without collecting any personal information — you can play all games, earn XP, and track your streaks without creating an account or sharing any personal details.

Flario is an independent browser gaming platform.

Flario is designed to be safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.

We take children's privacy seriously and comply with:

• COPPA (USA) — Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
• GDPR-K (Europe) — We apply strict data minimisation principles to all users. We do not use behavioural advertising.
• UK Children's Code — We design our service with children's best interests in mind, use privacy by default, and provide high privacy settings as the default.
• POPIA — We handle all personal information responsibly and lawfully.

By default, all advertising served on Flario is contextual only — based on the game being played, not on user profiling or behavioural tracking. We never use interest-based advertising on Flario.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@flario.games and we will promptly delete it.

Data stored on your device only (localStorage):

• Game scores and personal bests
• XP, level, coins, and streak count
• Achievement progress
• Theme preference (Void, Dusk, or Arc)
• Sound preference
• Game history (which games you have played, not timestamps)
• Display name (if you choose to set one — this never leaves your device)

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data or localStorage will permanently remove it.

Data collected automatically when you visit (standard web logs):

• IP address (used to serve the page, not stored beyond standard server logs)
• Browser type and version
• Pages visited and time of visit
• Referring website

We do not use cookies to track you across websites. We do not build profiles about individual users.

Flario uses minimal cookies. We use a single session cookie to manage your visit. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party profiling cookies without your explicit consent.

If you accept analytics cookies via our cookie consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage patterns — for example, which games are most popular. This data is anonymised and not linked to individual users. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.

Flario displays advertisements to support free access to all games. All advertising on Flario is:

• Contextual only — ads are related to the content being viewed, not to any user profile
• Non-behavioural — we do not track users across websites to serve personalised ads
• Family-safe — all ad content is filtered to be appropriate for general audiences including children

The child-safe mode toggle in Settings disables all advertising entirely. We recommend enabling this if children will be using the device.

Advertising is served by Google AdSense. All advertising on Flario is contextual only — based on the content of the game page, not on user profiles or behavioural tracking. Google may use the ad request to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. Google's full privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Right to access — You can view all data stored on your device in your browser's localStorage.
• Right to deletion — You can delete all your data at any time via Settings → Clear All Data. This is immediate and permanent.
• Right to data portability — Your data is stored as readable JSON in your browser's localStorage. You can export it using your browser's developer tools.
• Right to opt out — You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time via the cookie consent settings.
• Right to object — You can disable all advertising via the child-safe mode toggle in Settings.

EU and UK users have additional rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

All game data is stored only on your device and is retained until you clear it. We do not retain personal data on our servers beyond standard server access logs, which are retained for 30 days for security purposes.

Flario is served from servers located in Germany (EU). If you access Flario from outside the EU, your connection data may be processed in the EU. We do not transfer personal data to third countries beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics — aggregate usage statistics (only with your consent via cookie banner)
• Google AdSense — contextual advertising (non-personalised, family-safe)
• Google Fonts — typography (Space Grotesk and DM Mono). Google Fonts may log font requests.

We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Flario uses HTTPS encryption for all connections. Your game data is stored in your browser's localStorage which is inaccessible to other websites. We do not store passwords or payment information.
